PIKE ACADEMICS

As a fraternity, we place a strong emphasis on academic success for all of our members. We understand that our members are students first and foremost, and we want to support them in their academic endeavors. To that end, we have developed an extensive academic program for our new and active members. This program is designed to help new members get off to a strong start academically and to provide ongoing support throughout their time with the fraternity.

One of the key features of our academic program is a dedicated study space that is exclusively for use by our members in the evenings. Brothers attend study hours here depending on their past performance, and they can volunteer to proctor study hours as well. In addition to the study space, we also offer several other resources and programs to help our members succeed academically. These include tutoring and academic advising, as well as workshops and seminars on topics such as time management, study skills, and exam preparation. New members are assigned an “academic big brother” – an active member with the same major who can assist with material, course selection, and professional networking.

Finally, we have a robust system of academic support and accountability in place. This includes regular check-ins with members to ensure that they are staying on track academically, as well as academic probation for members who are struggling. Those who do fall behind are often required to meet with professors outside of class, visit the tutoring center, and increase their weekly study hours. Furthermore, a scholarship is offered to the three brothers who make the greatest improvement in their semester GPA as an incentive to improve.

Overall, our academic program is designed to provide our members with the resources and support they need to succeed academically and to graduate with their degrees on time. We are committed to helping our members achieve their academic goals and to becoming well-rounded, successful individuals.
